Last weekend, Parkfest PH was somehow the event of the month for the people who love arts and crafts.
Parkfest PH
This is only a teaser post about the happiness and craziness that happened during the weekend. Volunteers had their fare share of good vibes and sharing the love and passion for arts and crafts as well. Kate Quebrar, who is part of KFK Collective who won the Art BGC Mural Contest, was there as well even if she’s still injured. She continues to share her radiant personality through crazy antics. With us also is Ate Roie, she has a day job in one of the famous hotel establishments in the metro and doubles as a make-up artist and a calligrapher!
The whole stretch of May 28-29, 2016 was filled with mixed emotions. Clearly, it was a joyous event and seeing people who were enjoying and appreciating the art installations found in Nayong Pilipino (in Luneta Park) really made me feel proud about our artists.
This video was captured by Maan Agsalud who manages Type Kita, a community for those who likes / appreciates / does / makes letters dance, illustrates words and expresses some thoughts through illustrating, writing and anything related to the letters. Together with her sister Roma Agsalud, who co-owns Common Room PH and one-half of Pop Junk Love, they were able to make Parkfest PH happen!
Soon, I will blog about the whole event and the whole Parkfest PH experience. Cheers to the wonderful team behind it! I cannot name you all but kudos to you for sharing your time and precious talent to us, aspirants and fans!

I love this! I saw a friend post in front of that jeepney and I just had to google where it was from. Too bad Nayong Pilipino was really far. Hope to make time for it this weekend!

That looks like so much fun! I think it’s great that there’s a place for people like you to celebrate your creativity. And Kate Quebrar, must be very creative to be a calligrapher and makeup artist. I also love that jeepney art installation. Too cool!

too bad I missed this event.. i just saw their sponsored post on Facebook erlier today only to find out that the event is over…I saw the pictures from the event shared by Nayong Pilipino through their Facebook Page though and it seems like everybody had a blast! Hopefully I’ll get a chance to attend the future Parkfest PH events soon
This looks like a lot of fun to be a part of it! I love being able to express my creativity and to be inspired by others! That art installation looked like a lot of fun to work on and to display. I always wonder what happens to the art installations after they are done showing it at an event like this. Are they for sale or do they go on display somewhere or are they just taken apart?
looks like a fun day. i am practicing calligraphy and is into creative planning. i would have joined this only that i know that i am still shy on attending these events. hehehe. i go over your blog once in a while. like what you posts. 🙂

I heard about this event but unfortunately I wasn’t able to go! Oh, and you’re a leftie?? How are you able to do calligraphy?? Teach meee! Haha! I’m a leftie too and I find it so difficult! Any tips?:)
Yes, I’m a leftie. I just browsed tutorials online and just practiced. My blog series here would feature some tips for lefties as well. Next post, I’ll be sharing more tips. Yay!
Looks like you guys had so much fun! Had a busy weekend also that we missed this. We went to Nayong Pilipino sa Clark last April with our boys. I wanted to them to see some of what I saw when I was growing up. I had fond memories with Nayong Pilipino in Paranaque when I was till a child.
Haven’t been to those Nayong Pilipino’s. Only at the one near Luneta Park. Hope you can drop by there
Self expression through art is something that truly stuns me. I just love how artists think and interpret things. Too bad i wasnt event aware of this- not until now.
It might be fun for your family to visit there also. You might enjoy looking at the wonderful art installations
Nayong Pilipino <3 How I wish I could have volunteered for Parkfest as well huhu I've seen lots of pictures in Instagram and Facebook. Everything really looked like a feast. Can't wait for your next blog post about this 🙂
You can still visit Nayong Pilipino in Ermita to see the art installations. I really wish that it will become a yearly because I’d never say no to volunteering to that! Yay! Thank you! This is will the first time that I will post about an event on my blog more than once. Hihi 😀
I’ve seen a couple of photos from IG about Nayong Pilipino and Parkfest but I have no idea what it’s about. I’ll looking forward to reading your full post about the event to enlighten myself. Haha

It’s to revive Nayong Pilipino in Ermita plus to celebrate art, music and good vibes. Also, let the people see wonderful art installations but our artists. 🙂
I guess you really had a fun day. I wished I have those hand to do a Calligraphy . I hope to join ParkFestPH next time so I might learn from the expert.
