Last June 21, we were invited to watch the movie Transformers. Here’s what we think about the movie. It’s the latest Transformers movie.
Transformers: The Last Knight
Last June 21, 2017, Mr. Layderos of Light Network sent an invite to watch a movie at Newport Cinemas for the latest Transformers movie. Its subtitle is The Last Knight. Now, some Batman fans would think it’s somehow similar but truthfully, it’s so far away.
I know there have been a lot of news about Resorts World Manila. Honestly, the security has been more strict about entering the premises. I actually like it since they should really be tight about the security and the welfare of the people.
Frankly speaking, there was a scare factor that I felt when we entered the premises. Somehow, I felt goosebumps while walking towards the cinema.
So, if you’re familiar with the movies you’d notice that from Shia Labeouf, it shifted to Mark Wahlberg. It was only a breeze when we were still seeing Megan Fox and Shia as the leading stars in the movie. It followed a plot that ran through history.
Honestly, I will try my best to share a spoiler-free movie review about this. But surely, you will see some statements across the world wide web about the people who have already watched.
About the Movie
When I searched about the movie, it is said to be the fifth installment of the live-action movie series based on the toy line of Hasbro. Also according to my research, it has received negative feedback among the movie series.
It follows the movie Age of Extinction. This is directed by Michael Bay. It is said that this will be the last film for this series that Michael Bay will direct. Mark Wahlberg won’t be returning to work on the next movie.
The Movie Experience
It really had a great premise, even including some historical facts making it a better faction. So far, I like the way how the incorporated Merlin, Arthur and the Battle against the Saxons. I mean, I’ve watched Merlin (the series under BBC) and truly it has captivated my love for magic and mystery. Seeing the way Merlin was portrayed, as a lousy human, not a wizard at all was truly a different take from what we have been hearing about.
As a drunk and lousy human that Merlin was, it somehow reminded me that there are really times where we feel that we just have to drink. Take a pause at how busy our life has been and think about the things we did or will do.
Moving forward, the movie had a great plot but a lousy ending.
Again, that’s just me. That’s what I truly felt after watching the movie. If you’re enthusiastic with action scenes, surely the movie has that. Great effects for the transformation of the Autobots and the Decepticons. Truly, that’s given.
Another note, Anthony Hopkins was part of the movie. I was like, “Hey! That’s Odin. What’s he doing there?” and just laughed as he nailed his role! Watching him seem to alleviate the fact that the movie has really a lousy ending.
There were scenes that were so great but then, here comes the abrupt and lousy ending.
Somehow, they adapted the usual end credits that is ever present with Marvel movies.
Just some notable things when we watched:
- We were notified about the invited just around an hour and 20 minutes before the supposed showing time.
- There was really an insane traffic. I was fervently praying to the universe and to G that they would allow us to watch this. We considered that a date night and a break from all the work we were having.
- We ate at Sinangag Express (SEx) after the movie.
- Got freebies from the sponsors for the block screening!
- It was in Resorts World. I felt both scared and excited at the same time. We got the opportunity to watch it for free. Who wouldn’t want that, right?
P.S. Thank you to Mr. Layderos for inviting us!
After this, will you still watch the movie?

Nice that you went to see the latest Transformers movie. I remember that when I went to Universal Studios in Orlando, there was a Transformers ride.
That one was really awesome. I loved it. It’s a pity to hear the movie has such a lousy ending!
to be honest …. i really had fun watching the latest installment but that’s from the perspective of someone who didn’t get to follow the animated series from the 80s… What I really love the most was the humor part especially from Cogman and Anthony Hopkins (although he didn’t show that kind of caliber acting he is very known for)… i thought we’re on the same event again haha You’re in Resorts World pala .. i was in Megamall lols
OMG! Cogman and Sir insert character by Anthony Hopkinds are my fave too! I also read about your review. HAHA. Yeah, me too. Thought we were in the same place that time; the last time it happened was for GoTG 2, right? =))
