Reasons Why Love Uni Lounge

October 21, 2016

Now, I will tell you the reasons why I love it and why should you try it. At least, when you try it there, you’ll know why I fell in love (at first sight).

Uni Lounge: Study Bar

Study Bar

The place is well-lighted and makes you feel cozy and comfortable.

One thing that I really notice about a place is how well is it lighted. Reading my books and writing down my notes is a big deal for me. That is why I am so picky with the places I go to whenever I need to do something or study something. Having bright yet warm lights just picks me up and gets me moving.

They have book stands!

Being an aspiring lawyer, I have tons of assignments and cases to read. Bringing my own stand is such a hassle since it consumes a lot of space in my bag; let alone if I carry it. And honestly, this is the first time I have seen a place like this have book stands! So, for those who are aspiring lawyers and need a place to study, you might want to check this out. 😉

Their operation schedule

It’s quite unusual for a place to be open for almost 24 hrs. Honestly, I am not a morning person. I tend to do stuff starting 9pm onwards and I get scolded for that! So, when I learned that they’re open from 7am ’til 3am, it really enticed me to see and try. Students who are doing their thesis, papers, and other research works get productive at the wee hours. I’ve actually been there, done that!

I haven’t stayed there yet during the wee hours but soon, I’ll try. When I went there, it was in the afternoon.

Unlimited Snacks and Drinks at Uni Lounge

Snacks and Drinks area.

Perks and Benefits

This is self-explanatory. Why? See the list below:

  • Unlimited coffee (barako and the coffee from scratch)
  • Unlimited snacks (three variants: nuts, corn bits, cracker nuts)
  • There are people who come to your aid when you need help.
  • If you’re tired of sitting down, you can just go up to the 2nd floor and chill or have a power nap.
  • Speaking of the people, you may request (kindly, not rudely) or ask them if they could buy you food from the outside if you are tied up with your work on your seat.
  • There’s a concessionaire that sells cupcakes (red velvet and oreo) and cookies (oreo filled and Nutella).
  • There are mugs and glasses that you may use for your water / coffee.

First of all, i love that I am seeing Baybayin characters here in your blog… as much as I want to do the same Bluedreamer has so many standalone consonants haha
Anyway back to the topic.. this is really unique to me.. it is such a student-friendly place.. i think this is a perfect place for people who are preparing themselves from an exam.. since the place allows them to focus more in their studies

This looks like a great place to work. I’ve been working at home for over 5 years now. Sometimes I think of going to co-spaces like this. The prices are really friendly and rules aren’t at all hard to follow.

Okay ang concept na iyan. Sa Starbucks sige lang tambay, me saksakan pa. Sa CBTL naman, they removed the sockets para no one could charge. After several months spending 6 days a week at CBTL, paying anywhere from 120 to 600+ pesos per day, I gave up on them. For sure, Uni Lounge is going to be successful. Bilang na kasi nila ang rates and profitability. Basta they get enough number of people, okay sila. Really good concept and hope for more like them.

This is a cool concept. Personally I really enjoy working from my home, I don’t want any distractions. But this place looks amazing for those who perhaps don’t have the discipline to work or study at their house. The price was great as well, unlimited coffee and snacks… Cozy!

I have to agree with you. While it is nice to be in a cafe to break the routine, I have lately been staying at home more. In both cases, there are distractions, if we allow it. πŸ™‚ But when it comes to writing seriously, like you, I prefer the home where it is quiet.

This indeed sounds like a good place to study! Unlimited snacks and coffee is great. It’s nice that you don’t have to spend extra on that. And if looks like it has everything else you need as well. Good lighting is very important. And affordability is one of the important things as well indeed!

I never knew such place. Even though I knew some exist, I never went to any apart from the ones dedicated in schools/uni. It’s a really cool one. For the price with WiFi, Plugs and unlimited coffee it’s quite awesome, especially the unlimited coffee! But the place itself looks really cool and cosy with the sofas and all. I think it’s a great mix between studying and chilling that definitely feels better to study in those conditions

The rise in coworking spaces and lounges like these is rampant these days, I noticed! You see, besides my blogging, I still have a corporate job. I work in a company called CEO SUITE where they offer serviced offices, virtual offices, coworking spaces/ shared offices. It’s of the same concept like this one you’ve shared. But it’s located in Ayala, Makati.

I think that is absolutely a great place where you can do other important matters while you are outside your home. I haven’t experienced renting a place to stay there to study. When I was still in the university, I was most of the time in the library. Back to Uni Lounge, I think it is a good business too. πŸ™‚

I love this concept! It sounds so handy with the wifi and unlimited coffee! I’m not sure if we have anything like that here in the UK.

Nice! Do they have monthly membership fees like in the coworking spaces? This is really accessible from my house so will check this out

    • Reply Maria November 11, 2016 at 4:22 PM

Currently, I haven’t seen posts yet about membership fees. But surely, they might think of that soon. πŸ™‚

This is nice! I hope they would have other branches. And I hope one near my place! hahaha That is so affordable.

Your post convinced me to visit and try this place. There are times that I just need a different environment so my creative juices will flow. My only concern though is… parking πŸ™

Wow! The place looks really comfortable and really conducive to learning. I will suggest this to my sister who studies in DLSU! I bet she’ll love it there. πŸ™‚ AND THOSE RULES! Hahaha no PDA should be applicable to anywhere lol
