How to Keep Your Weekend Everlasting

How to Keep Your Weekend Everlasting

There’s nothing like that feeling you get on the weekends, when you have nothing scheduled, plenty of free time, and are finally able to sleep in.

How to Keep Your Weekend Everlasting

As we all know, weekends come and go way too quickly but there’s no reason that weekend feeling should be limited to only two times a week. There are ways to extend your weekend mentality into your work week, making a never-ending weekend completely achievable.

Below, you will find five ways to make your weekend everlasting.

#1 Get Crafty

Whether it’s something like knitting or painting, having an artistic hobby is great to pick up and work on after a work day has ended. If you’re not much of a crafty person but would like to learn, there are all kinds of classes available.

If you’re interested in getting involved in painting, PaintNite offers plenty of painting workshops that often go on during the week! This doesn’t have to be limited to just an art hobby either.

Doing something like taking a cooking class or a bartending class is a great way to not only get your outside your comfort zone but also gives you something to look forward too and is a nice change of pace to your normal routine.

#2 Have a Girls Night

Hanging out with your friends during the work week is a great way to shake things up in your social life. Depending on what you and your friends are in the mood for, it can be as simple as having a cozy night in or heading out for a drink at your local bar. Don’t worry about spending money if that’s an issue in the back of your mind.

There are plenty of fun and cost effective activities that you can do with your gal pals that won’t break the bank!

#3 Dress Comfortably

Dressing cozy and comfortably shouldn’t be reserved for just the weekends! While we all wish wearing your pajamas to work was socially accepted, there are plenty of ways to dress appropriately for the office while also feeling comfortable. It all starts from what you’re wearing underneath your outfit.

Make sure you’re wearing a bra that not only fits you well but is also 100% supportive. These bras from True & Co. are the perfect option as they provide support and won’t bother you during those late work nights. In terms of underwear, with Summer around the corner, make sure you opt for more breathable/sweat-wicking fabric as those are the best options for warmer weather.

When you’re thinking about what outfit to wear to work, simple and comfortable is the way to go. Wearing something like a jumpsuit or a pair of trousers shows that you can be both stylish and comfortable when heading to work.

What are some of your favorite ways to dress both work appropriate and comfortably for work?

#4 Treat Yourself to Some Amazing Meals

It can be pretty easy to not look forward to your work week if you also don’t have any amazing meals to look forward to. Instead of limiting yourself to the same kind of thing every day, mix up your work lunches either by going out to eat or meal prepping some fantastic options. There are plenty of meal prep ideas for lunch that aren’t only delicious, but also healthy.

It doesn’t have to be limited to just lunch either. With breakfast being the most important meal of the day, try to wake up a little earlier now and then to make yourself an amazing meal at home or splurging at your local coffee shop for a bear claw to go along with your coffee.

#5 Taking Care of Yourself

Weekends shouldn’t be the only time that we give ourselves some self-love. As you might have read from my discussion of self-care, it’s imperative that no matter how busy you get with work, family and schedules that you also make time for yourself during the weekday.

This can be something like giving yourself a little pamper time such as getting a mani-pedi or can be something where you don’t have to spend any money at all like taking a luxurious bath and reading a book.

What’s nice is that it’s completely up to you and ideally, completely for you. If you’re a busy mom, try and communicate with your husband that at least once a work week, you have some time for yourself.

What are some of your favorite ways that you take care of yourself?

Those are some great ideas to have some fun during the weekend! Another thing I love doing during the weekends is playing board games with friends – time will just fly by and you wouldn’t notice it. I would love to try those bras, but I’ve gone bra-less for almost 3 years now and just wear silicon stick-ons since all the bras I tried before would give me horrible bacne. I wish I knew about them before though. Are there restaurants you would recommend to get a nice meal out? Looking forward to more great posts!
