Creative Ideas for Practice #3

Creative Prompts for Practice

When a creative has forgotten to do their practice, some get stuck. As we all know, practice makes perfect so it’s important to have ideas for that. Right?

Creative Ideas for Practice #3

At some point of our respective creative journeys, we face humps that would hinder us from achieving our greatest skills and talents. Of course, I do not want anyone to get stuck at some point within their creative journey. Honestly, I present you with ideas to help you with your practice.

#1 Pet Peeves

Now, don’t be fooled by the prompt but this means, something that a person finds annoying. By all means, it’s not the pet that you dream of having. Now, what could possibly annoy you?

Some of the things that can annoy people generally are:

  • People who use “stuffs” as a noun
  • Loud chewing
  • Drivers who just cut their way in the driveway all the time

About your pet peeves, illustrating it or scribbling it is suggested. However, it depends on how is your process.

#2 Favorite Dog Breed

It’s obvious that I’m a dog lover but have I shared my favorite dog breed? Well, I have always leaned on taking care of large breed dogs. And, I have five (5) dogs left at home, in the province.

Here are the five (5) dog breeds:

  • Labrador Retriever
  • Labrador Mix (2)
  • Chiweenie (Dachshund x Chihuahua)
  • Mongrel (mix breed)

But, how can you do it?

  • Write it, possibly their names.
  • Illustrate them, through ink, pencil or even with paint.
  • Take photos of your dog and you could paint it digitally.

#3 Favorite Cartoon Character

Some of my all-time favorite cartoon characters are illustrated through the photos. I can only admire them from afar and that I confess that I do not have a talent with illustrating them.

So, try to remember the shows that helped you mold your childhood and harness those. Let them guide you to your pens and paper and let the creativity to just flow. For sure, watching a few episodes will ignite those creative hands and eyes and will lead you back to your first love. That is, the creative path.

Here are some questions that could help you going:

  • Why did you like them in the first place?
  • What made you like them up to this time and age?
  • How have they helped you in your life?

#4 Least Favorite Food

From favorites, we move onto the least favorite food that you like to eat. It can be quite challenging since there are a lot of food out there that are so delicious to look at.

For some it may be:

  • broccoli
  • cauliflower
  • meat

So, these are some ideas that could help you think of your least favorite food and be able to actually write it down or even illustrate it.

#5 Favorite Movies

Well, from romantic films to comedy, just think of the memorable scenes that have stuck in your head. Grab a pen and start illustrating or writing.

P.S. Don’t forget to pin this!
