Ramen x Tea with Sabrina

Ramen and Tea with Sabrina

It was a random day where I decided to visit Sabrina on such a random note. I haven’t seen her for months now and I guess all the randomness that day brought was what urged me to go on a spontaneous trip to The Office Project.

February 9, 2017 – I randomly visited a friend, Sabrina Escoto, at her workplace. That day,  I was able to accomplish errands. From shipping out my items for the very first pop-up for 2017 to paying bills at Meralco. (Yes, adulting!) Then, there I was waiting at Meralco waiting for the motorcycle to get me to The Office Project.

I went there around 4pm and her out was 5pm so I was somehow whispering to the time god or goddess (if there is such) to slow time for a bit so I could make it there even if there was traffic. Though, if you are riding the motorcycle, traffic may seem to be a blur.

She was giddy when she knew that I was coming to visit. I don’t know how but it felt right. Visiting her was comforting for the both of us. We were able to catch up, have some giggles and exchange ideas! All of these were the usual things we did back before we got very busy. She’s busy with work while I’m busy in school and other stuff. She introduced me to new people there. From the owners of Narrative Coffee Company to the new interns, it was such a nice feeling getting to know people!

Getting to know Narrative Coffee Company

Know about their story by watching their video.

We tried drinking the oolong tea and the black tea both hot and cold. It was so good especially when you try it with the rock sugar. Also, the rock sugar tastes to delicious even if when you munch on it or let it melt in your mouth.

That Ramen and Tea Experience

While Sab was still on duty, she told me to buy food for us. I did that. However, I noticed that she got colds so what I did was to buy instant ramen from the nearby Korean store. It was just a walking distance and I took it as a work-out. (Yup, trying to get fit this 2017.) I got her a cup of Shin Ramyun and I got Ramen Bokki. What I got was spicy and like yakisoba while hers was with soup. She ended up in tears because it was hot and a bit spicy but it comforter her colds.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of us with our food. 🙁

But, thanks to Kuya David, we had great photos during my impromptu visit and our bonding! You can check his awesome shots here.

And that is just one of the some many great captures by Kuya David!

Aftermath

After her work, I was able to convince her to go with me to my place. There we did a time-lapse video of unboxing my latest food stuff box from my mom and it’s all the way from Legazpi, Albay! (Yes, getting fit and receiving your fave foods is a hard thing to do!) However, I won’t be sharing that video here. Haha!

Catching us at our normal selves!

It was a great night! Being able to catch up with one of my closest friends is something rare nowadays. Being busy with work (for Sab) and juggling freelancing and school is quite a big plate to handle. I know we may not be able to talk frequently like we used to before but you know I always have your back. Even if we just know each for around two (2) years, it feels like we know each other for a lifetime!

Oh, do you remember? *giggle*

Dear Sabrina

I know that you are managing things and stuff, but don’t ever forget that you always have a friend in me. This is my way of telling you that I miss you during events (especially if we have invites), creating something with you and talking until morning. You are my BBF and since you coined the term, no one can ever take it away unless you do. I just hope you don’t! Haha! So, please, pretty please, don’t let the dark side tamper your creative side. Go back to the light side of the force. The force is strong but you are stronger!

Sab, I always thank the universe for letting us cross paths. I practically would have given up on calligraphy if I hadn’t met you. Kidding! Haha! But, you surely made an impact to my life. Love you to bits and pieces!

P.S. If you don’t have a Valentine, I can be your Valentine too.

What a lovely tribute to a great friend. These kinds of friends are the ones to cherish, even if you don’t see each other often it doesn’t matter because you know that the next time you see them it will be like no time passed at all. Lovely photos of your get together too, what a lucky photographer.

Friends are blessings! You both seem to have enjoyed your bonding moment. It’s good that you still find time to visit your friend. Time is one of the commodity that should be used wisely. And spending a bit of it with people that matters to you is a wise investment.

Does it really matter where if you are catching up with a good friend? You could be anywhere, drinking or eating anything, and whatever they were, it would not matter. What does is the company of people you like. Speaking of tea, I kinda like drinking tea too. I still have leftovers from the gifts several former suppliers in China gave me. Guess I will make myself a cup now. Hahaha.

I can feel how important your friendship is with Sab. I can feel your sincerity and your loyalty to your friend through this post. And it was so caring of you to get her some Ramen. Ramen makes everything better, I believe. Haha!

That’s a lovely tribute to your friend, and it’s so important to do it, and take some time to catch up with your closest one from time to time! I can feel how Sabrina is important to you so that’s cool you’re feeling free and okay to share this on your platform! Keep doing it! That’s inspiring!
